Testimonials

Below are some messages from previous clients that I am proud to say that I have worked with.

I met Shaun only 10 times, but what a difference before and after !!
She could manage very well to say what I needed to hear, from a hurt child as well as from an adult perspective. Shaun was also giving me the keys to managing future situations in which I would feel regressed, and some of her comments started resonating only weeks after my therapy was over, at the right time for me. I definitely am in a much better place since I met Shaun, I can only encourage people to meet and talk to her.

Morning Shaun. I hope you are well. I just wanted to say I have hit 3 months of complete abstinence from everything for the first time in years and wanted to take the time to thank you and Alistair as your work has undoubtedly played the biggest part in this. There have been huge shifts in understanding which emotions are age-appropriate and separating those from the past, responsibly responding through them and therefore, most importantly not picking up! I was so dazed as to why I would use drink or drugs when I knew what to do in recovery terms but am eternally grateful that this missing piece explains it all. * Life-saving, life-changing, life-expanding.* You are both amazing healers and I am so grateful to have met you. Thanks again x

Hi Shaun. I just wanted to say thank you. I’m so grateful I met you and Alistair, for having a chance to take part in the programme and for meeting the other two participants. Thank you for giving me the tools to help in my recovery and for my life. I will never forget last weekend. Hearing your story and what you have been through and how you now help people inspired me, You and Alistair reminded me that we CAN recover I can never forget and I’m grateful. I hope one day I can thank you properly. Please can you pass my thanks to Alistair also? I’ll stay in touch for sure. I hope you and your family are good and you’re enjoying your weekend.

Shaun has been a constant source of support to me for nearly five years. Even when I go through periods of not seeing her, knowing she is there if I need her, somehow makes me feel less lonely and fills me with inner strength, peace, and confidence.
Shaun is, without a doubt, the best therapist I have ever had. This is the reason why I have stayed with her for so long. She listened to me patiently with an open heart and mind, without judgement, when nobody else could hear me. Her empathy, guidance and understanding enabled me to process deep-rooted childhood trauma and PTSD. Her manner is very nurturing, and she has been like a mother figure to me.

Shaun always helps me see clearly and feel grounded again when life situations become triggering. She is genuine, caring and kind, and adapts brilliantly to the needs of the client. She is also extremely professional, respectful and very broad-minded in her approach, using her intuition and a variety of other tools and techniques to get straight to the heart of any issues. Shaun has the vision and skills to see past defence mechanisms and walls that people put up to protect themselves, regardless of their background. This is what makes her such an excellent trauma therapist. Nothing gets past her, and this is a real blessing!

I have recommended Shaun to many people that I know.

I came to Shaun in the middle of a serious episode of clinical depression. I’d been dealing with depression for most of my adolescent and adult life, but the incident I was dealing with right before my 40th birthday was so weighty, that I had lost the will to live. The beginning of our sessions coincided with the start of the first lockdown in London. Our weekly meetings had an added value and often felt like a safety raft amidst the depression, loneliness, anxiety and physical exhaustion.

Shaun’s energy is strong, yet kind, gentle and full of compassion. It’s through her patient and consistent guidance that I learned about self-nurturing and self-care which allowed me to stay successful and sane in my demanding, high-pressure professional life. Thanks to Shaun, I also finally understood at a deeper level (and for good) that I did have an inherent value as a human being and that I had the right to my own thoughts, feelings and healthy boundaries. All of these have been crucial in reaching recovery and preventing relapses. Little by little, over the course of nine months things got better. A year and a half later, I’m still depression-free and more resilient than ever.

Before meeting Shaun, I had worked with six different therapists. I know that as clients, we are solely responsible for our recovery. I also deeply believe that if it hadn’t been for working with her, there is a chance I wouldn’t be typing these words now and for that – I am forever grateful.

Working with Shaun enabled me to heal, recover and live from a place of wholeness. Through therapy, I discovered my unhealthy patterns which stemmed from childhood, learnt new healthier ways of relating and developed a loving relationship with my wounded inner child. Shaun is an excellent therapist and through working with her I experienced a spiritual awakening, emotional healing and life transformation.

I have learnt how to re-parent and love myself and how to be the authentic person God created me to be. I’m so grateful to have had the support of such an amazing therapist who facilitated me on my journey of recovery. Thank you so much, Shaun!

Shaun, I can’t express how grateful I am since you came into my life just over a year ago, you truly have given me a 2nd chance for life to enjoy my kids and grandkids….I was in a very dark lonely place when we first met and you have taught me where it was all coming from… childhood trauma…and with counselling, I was able to understand myself and then in turn able to understand others.

I can now say I’m very chilled out to the point my husband sometimes wonders how I’ve done tasks without it being an issue..

Shaun… you are an amazing therapist????

This Trauma Reduction Therapy was recommended to me by a Consultant Psychiatrist treating Addictions. Having been an active member of 12 Step Fellowship Groups, as well as extensively doing Psychotherapy (both 121 and Group) over the last several years, I can say that Trauma Therapy with Shaun really was a game-changer. The week was very well structured and it helped me that Shaun was very “real” and personable. I will take the work with me for life and I have already recommended this course to several friends.

A key personal objective for me was to help me unpick what was my fault and what wasn’t, and the ability to feel and be less “numb” as well as reduce self-destructive patterns, which I feel like this course has achieved.

I am forever grateful to Shaun and other fantastic facilitators who make such magic happen!

Prior to the workshop, I was incapable of finding any joy in life and drank alcohol most nights to escape the misery. I now know this was caused by a childhood void of love.

Since completing the workshop I look forward to each day. I exercise, cook all my own meals and I enjoy speaking to people – none of which I could find joy in before; I also haven’t felt the need to drink alcohol once.

I feel like I’m living for the first time and I now understand the enjoyment in life.

I would recommend this workshop to anyone who knows their childhood was not right.
